The book, Widowed, attempts to identify and provide advice for dealing with the emotional and financial ramifications of a spouse's death. Sharon says "The spectrum of the readers is wider than one book can cover. Hopefully, there will be some help for all who find themselves in a similar situation." Barry provides the financial aspect of the book, detailing his role as Sharon's "decision partner" after the death of her husband, John.

Widowed-Beginning Again Personally and Financially

According to the U.S. Census Bureau 800,000 people are widowed each year. Nearly 700,000 women lose their husbands each year and will be widows for about fourteen years.  Currently, there are 13.6 million widows in the United States, with over 11 million of them women. The death of a spouse is ranked as the number one stressor of life events.

Our purpose is to help these widows.

Widows are created everyday
